Slight LOST Spoiler

So if you’ve watched the show LOST for the past five season addictively, with rewatches during the hiatus and utter silence during the new shows, you probably have a certain character that you love and a certain character you can’t stand (*cough cough* Charlie!). And when that favorite, loved character dies it really sucks. I have such a character… his name is Martin Keamy. Commando Keamy. Keamy the Bad Boy. And one of my personal favorites… Steamy Keamy. I admit it… I liked his badass ways. And beating the crap out of certain other characters who got on my nerves shouting “WAAAAAAAAAALT” until my ears bled worked in his favor too. And boy did it suck when he died. I still hate watching that part in that episode.

So when I was on one of my favorite LOST sites today (, Daniel, you’re awesome! And I always totally agree about Charlie.) thanks to a poster there (thanks again buttercup!) there was a spoiler link. Normally I don’t read spoilers so close to the new season. I kinda sorta avoid them like the plague. But because buttercup said I would be really, really happy with this news and it was really awesome, and it was addressed for me to see (lovesteamykeamy on that site), so this time I looked. And boy was I happy. I think it even got rid of my headache. It made my day/week/month/most likely year. Because I have always believed that Keamy would come back. Because lets face it, you can’t keep that man down no matter what. He’s too awesome. I might not know what episode he’ll be back for, but boy am I excited to see it, whether it’s the first episode, the last episode, or anywhere in between, fact is, the most awesome bad boy ever is back! Hallelujah, they have just made up for the fact that they’re probably bringing back Charlie.

Here’s the link:

It’s from Gitsiegirl… Thank you! buttercup… Thank you! TPTB… Thank you!

Just a Little Late

I was going to write this yesterday, as I need some place to say such things, but then work was really long. Then I had other stuff to do. Then I fell asleep, since it had been one of those wear you slap out weeks. So it’s a little late. But I’m just wondering… where did the whole “Casual Friday” concept come into play. In my office, at least, people seem to use it as their excuse to wear whatever they grab from their dirty torn clothes drawer they find first. I work in an office that has rules about what we wear Monday through Friday, and “guidelines” for Friday wear. On non-casual days, men are supposed to wear either shirt, tie, and slacks or suits, and the usually do (not going to go into the unfortunate sweater choices I see) and women are supposed to wear dresses, blouses and skirts, blouses and dress trousers or skirted or pant suits. And I won’t mention the scary things that can come from that. But Fridays have me with a small dread… in theory it’s supposed to be just a slightly more relaxed day, but the clothes I’ve seen… a VP who had an important meeting that day coming in in grease stained jeans and an ill-fitting t-shirt that had a hole or two. The shlubbiest outfits I have ever seen fill my office Fridays. I feel like walking around singing that song from the How I Met Your Mother 100th episode, or at least the part where Barney sings “send casual Friday down the laundry chute”. And while we’re at it can I have that power he had during the musical number? You know, the one where he zaps their clothes into suits? I think it would be useful. And since I’m a Mad Men watcher, I every once in a while think when looking at someone… “Don Draper wouldn’t wear that to his office.” or “Joan wouldn’t get caught dead in that get up.” Mostly because I’m weird like that. Or maybe just because I’m weird. It runs in the family after all…

I know, there are some places where jeans and tees are the better uniform and that’s all good. And there are places where people aren’t really working in an office and can wear whatever, because they don’t have any worries, and I do get jealous of them sometimes. I mean shoot, I got in trouble once for wearing a dress that was an inch above my knee, but we’ll save that for another time. And yes, I have been guilty of breaking my office’s rule of wearing stockings or pantyhose during the summer because I have an incredible aversion to those things, especially in the summer. They might add a little extra warmth in the winter, but they’re just downright uncomfortable in the summer. But come on, let’s start dressing that one level up thing in these offices where it’s better to wear dress clothes… I’ve heard it can do great things… I’ll let you know if that last part ever pans out.

Another LOST Post…

Among the many from many other blogs. Just gearing up for the final ( šŸ˜¦ ) season. Have been rewatching all hiatus, and am now on the best episodes, in my opinion. I watched Walkabout the other night, and it’s made me think about the differences of John Locke before he was resurrected and John Locke after he was “taken over”, I guess, by Mr. Loophole after Crash Number 2. And another thing was in that same episode, Locke had his first run-in with Smokie. He had that staring contest with everyone’s favorite Mystery Island Monster, could that have been Mr. Loophole determining if one day this might be the loophole he would find?

Who knows. Maybe we’ll get an answer this season, but maybe not. Maybe that will be something to leave us hanging forever…

I do know I’ll probably have more to say on LOST. I always do.

The FirstĀ Post

So I’ve started this little blog as somewhat a distraction, we’ll say. I had another one that was devoted to LOST, the wonderful tv show on ABC. But I think for this one, I’ll just be in whatever topic I have on my mind when I post. Let’s see… today, well, going to go see Sherlock Holmes with a friend after work. Hopefully this will be better than “500 Days of Summer” was for us, where we were forced to go get cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory right next to the theater after, because that movie depressed us so much. Although I think we’ll still be getting cheesecake… just because that’s such a good tradition to have.

Well, that’s all I got for today. We’ll just see.
